ok...still taking my extra shower a day and vitamins. Steve was talking to someone at work and his girlfirend just got them in August. He said she was in a lot of pain for four days and he even had to help her pull down her sweatpants to go to the bathroom...oh no...and every four hours pain pills but she is very happy with them!
Also trying to do any laundry to get that out of the way :)

5 to go!
ok....so the count down is getting close. Today I started my new vitamins (twice a day) and had to shower twice with the bacterial soap each time . They don't tell you that watch out for your eyes because it could cause blindness or if you get it in you ears you could go deaf. Thank God I just have to use it from my shoulders to my waist.
One little problem....Grandma doesn't look like she is doing so good and my mother in law is actually getting ready for a wake, so my surgery might be postponed.
I thought yesterday that I might have to postponed it anyway when I went outside to clean up the garden and with my allegeries I felt sick, sneezy, cough etc. Since I can't take any medicine since about two weeks before the surgery I was a little scared (no Allegra) and if you get sick it is off but today I felt fine.
Just waiting to see how Grandma does.

6 days to go!
Today was an extremely busy day!!! Running around getting all my medicine (5!). I have vitamins I have to start tomorrow and wash with some special soap twice a day until the surgery. That soap was the most difficult thing to find...thankfully CVS had it. Then I have antibiotics and two types of pain killers to use after the surgery. They give you one strong and one mild just so you have them.
Then searching for an outfit to wear. You have to wear either a zip up or button down shirt. I wanted something comfy that I wouldn't have to change out of for probably two days and Modells came thru. A nice lightweight zip up jersey without a hood and comfy lightweight sweats. Really didn't want to wear pjs to the doctor's office..hehehee
Now I have been cooking and freezing a few meals for the first days home, even though I might not be hungry my hubby will :) Bought myself a big box of crackers for when I take my medicine and then also have to stock up on gauze pads and bacitraicin for the first few days.
Have to say since the big day isn't that far away I go back and forth from feeling a little scared to being really excited! I just want to start the recovery process now, get the first two days over with....stay tuned!

T minus 7
I am writing this share my experience for all you girls out there that have been considering going for it. Next Friday I am finally getting what I want, new boobs...woo woo. I am going to fill you in on everything that occurs..the pain...the prep...will it be worth it?
I have been to the consultations and then I got to actually try on different sizes to see what I liked. I highly recommend this. If you get the chance, I wore a loose bra with a tight t shirt and put different sizes of the silicone implants in my bra to see what I liked. Believe it or not it took over an hour...should they be bigger, smaller...I didn't want to look like a stripper but I wanted to make sure it was worth it.
Finally decided...and then ...the down payment...it is for real..with only two weeks from the size choosing I also met with the medical assistant that gave me all the prescriptions and pre op and post op...this is REAL surgery. I had to get blood work an EKG and medical clearance to have the surgery..so far so good..cleared to go.
Not to scare you but there is so much that you have to think about before the actual day....what do you wear to surgery...only button down or zip up tops (you can't move your arms for 2 days!) and all the medicine you have to take the week before.
Fill you in more tomorrow....starting Sunday..medicine...special soap...vitamins..so much shopping to do (besides the new size bras that you are supposed to have ready when you recover, with no wire & no padding)...it is a lot!!! of work.
Til...tomorrow
